Acceptance of the Traveler

Every passenger must accept and comply with the conditions stipulated in this document to travel with AysenJourneys, and does so when making the reservation with us. It is understood that the reservation is made when the traveler receives the travel confirmation from us in their email.

Understanding "Traveling to a Remote Area"

The Carretera Austral is a unique destination that connects Puerto Montt with Villa O'Higgins, covering a distance of 1,240 kilometers from north to south through a varied and nuanced landscape. Human presence, scarce and recent, is barely noticeable amid extreme weather conditions, and the nearly untouched nature stands out as the region's great attraction. This journey is always an adventure as it retains the sense of the epic. Aysén invites us to reconnect with the joy of overcoming challenges each day, being certain that we are protagonists of an unforgettable experience. However, the geographical reality of a "remote region" is of utmost relevance when considering making this trip. While AysenJourneys specializes in its organization and knows the details on which traveling the Carretera Austral depends, the traveler must accept the possibility of unforeseeable factors.

Service: Travel Program

AysenJourneys is a tour operator that markets Travel Programs designed based on various activities that can be carried out in the region, combined with the tourist attractions the traveler wishes to explore. This allows us to create customized trips that also include transportation, accommodation, and meals.

On the website, recommended travel alternatives are presented with proposed itineraries. However, there is always the possibility of designing tailor-made trips. Additionally, as mentioned earlier, unforeseen circumstances may arise. Therefore, AysenJourneys reserves the right to make changes to the itinerary before confirming the trip.

If AysenJourneys is forced to cancel a circuit due to force majeure, weather conditions, natural disasters, strikes, etc., there will be no refund of the amount paid. Instead, it will remain credited for a future trip on a date convenient for the passenger and when we can confirm its realization. In the event of such inconveniences with the reserved program, AysenJourneys will notify as soon as possible and offer the passenger the option to book an alternative program. If the passenger is not satisfied with the alternative offered, any money already paid to AysenJourneys will not be refunded, potentially remaining available for a future trip.

AysenJourneys may make reasonable changes to the Travel Program itinerary when deemed necessary for the well-being of the passengers. It reserves the right to change the order of places to visit. If a passenger requests an itinerary change for personal reasons, AysenJourneys will consider and attempt to satisfy their requirements. However, if additional expenses arise due to this modification, they will be charged directly to the passenger, and there will be no refund for previously reserved and unused services and activities.

Responsibilities

AysenJourneys is not responsible for any loss, delay, inconvenience, or personal injury related to the arrival of planes or boats in the Aysén region, even if such delays or cancellations occur due to force majeure, illness, strikes, or stoppages.

Passport and visa requirements, as well as other immigration requirements, are the traveler's responsibility, and they should confirm these with the respective embassies and/or consulates. It is the traveler's responsibility to ensure they have the necessary travel and health documents and comply with any immigration requirements before traveling.

Given the nature of the Travel Program to a remote region, we recommend purchasing medical and travel insurance in your home country. If the passenger wants us to arrange insurance for them, we can do so at an additional cost to their program. AysenJourneys' programs are available to anyone in good physical and health condition, with some demanding more than others. Passengers should check the specifications of each program to determine if it is suitable for them. It is the responsibility of each passenger to ensure that AysenJourneys is aware, at the time of registration, of any existing medical problems and any specific dietary indications. By legal provision, pregnant women with seven or more months of pregnancy are prohibited from traveling the Carretera Austral.

AysenJourneys may expel, without entitling them to a refund, any member of the group if they believe they committed an illegal act or if their behavior becomes detrimental to the safety and/or well-being of the group.

AysenJourneys reserves the right to take photographs or make recordings of any of the circuits, request post-travel feedback from passengers, and subsequently use them for commercial and/or promotional purposes. If any passenger is uncomfortable with this, it is requested to express this in the Trip Planning.

Price and Cancellation Policy

Prices are estimated based on each passenger's program, in dollars, but when delivered, they will be per adult person based on a double room. Solo travelers can request a quote for the travel program based on a single room if they prefer. Children between 2 and 12 years old pay 50% of the total program price. Children under 2 years old travel free and share a room with their parents.

To confirm a reservation for any AysenJourneys program, it is necessary to make a 30% down payment of the total price, which could be refunded 100% if the trip is canceled more than 60 days in advance. The remaining balance must be paid 60 days before the start of the trip. Once the total payment for the trip is made, there will be no refund unless the traveler submits a medical certificate.

Partial or total cancellations incur an administrative cost. Additionally, the service of the providers involved in the contracted trip will be charged. As an alternative, AysenJourneys provides flexibility to travel within the next 36 months as scheduled, keeping the payment as a credit for their next trip.The Payment Methods for the reserved Travel Program will be stipulated in the confirmation email of the Travel Program reservation.

Data Privacy Policy

AysenJourneys uses the customer's personal data to manage the correct implementation of the Travel Program they contracted, both before, during, and after their trip. We may process accommodation and travel reservations and transmit personal data to service providers. However, the customer's personal data is considered confidential and, therefore, will not be disclosed to any third party, except to the relevant authorities, only if required by law.
